Here’s a sampling of feedback from travelers on my tours:
“Very glad we signed up for a Cuba Tour with Jeremy as it introduced us to a new culture, new friends and great food. The trip was also quite edifying in that it broadened our understanding of the cuban peoples\’ experiences via curated tours, conversations and spontaneous interactions.”
“This was a trip not to be forgotten! The music, art, experiences and camaraderie made this a wonderful experience. I learned so much about the culture and my own culture in comparison on the trip – what I am grateful for (free speech, economic security) and what I with that we could incorporate (multi-racial harmony through continues interactions) . I wish that we had more time to soak in the music, street scenes, art everywhere, vibrant colors and lovely people. Thanks for a wonderful trip. I plan to return.”
“Overall, I thought the tour was very well-rounded and offered us a great opportunity to learn about Cuban culture, food, politics, art, and history. I loved that we got out of Havana after the first few days and explored other cities. Trinidad was a stand-out favorite for me. The Cubans we met were equal parts warm and honest and I really appreciated their hospitality. Also, as a woman, I felt incredibly safe walking around both day and night, which is quite rare in this world!”
“Great trip. I learned a lot about the history of Cuba and the people that I would not have learned if I went by myself.”
“So many great experiences from city life to farm life! You made eating and drinking and having fun easy. I did not I to think about hardly anything such as the bill, where to go and what to do.”
“Jeremy and his tour guide Pablo curated a set of experiences that were amazing, not only intellectually, but also emotionally. We really got an emersion into the Cuban culture that was both heartbreaking and heart lifting. The trip of a lifetime. “
“The accommodations were beyond expectations. I loved staying in casas and not hotels. Almost every meal was fantastic. There was a good variety of activities. The classic car history tour of Havana could have been hokey but the local guides who rode with us were knowlegeable, personable and super-engaging. I’m grateful for Jeremy’s choices in a country that is overwhelming, complicated and very beautiful.”
“A tour that takes you off the beaten path and will forever change how you view Cuba.”
“We participated in two consecutive tours in Cuba with your group and another company over two weeks, and we think your tour better connected us to Cuban people and led to deeper understanding of the current situation in Cuba, how people are coping with that situation and where Cuba may be heading. “
“The local guides were exceptionally open and up front about the realities facing Cuban people. They were knowledgeable and didn’t give canned speeches. The meeting with the babalawo religious leader in Havana was a once in a lifetime experience. “
“Jeremy organizes a trip that provides the traveler with a chance to not only hear the sights and sounds of Cuba, but also to meet with many Cubans and gain their perspective s of life. Jeremy did a particularly good job of connecting us to very interesting local guides and experiences. The pace of the trip was busy but calm. I highly recommend his trips.”
“Jeremy has done a wonderful job developing relationships with many interesting people and guides all along our route. Those contacts provided the real added value of the tour and some special experiences. I did not expect much from the classic cars tour, for example, but Ernesto and Daniella provided much more information than the model of the cars and the names of buildings. Indeed they provided the most information about current Cuban politics, the new constitution, etc. that we wouldn’t have heard about otherwise. “
“The tour was a wonderful combination of experiences – art, history, politics and more. I left with a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the Cuban people as well as their resilience and amazing culture.”
“Jeremy’s Cuba trip is a remarkable cultural experience, filled with fact filled walking tours in Havana, Cienfuegos, and Trinidad, plus tours of rural agriculture at an amazing mutli-generational family eco-farm, and a mountain coffee farm. Knowledgeable guides shared insights into Cuba’s complex history. Some guides were previously Cuban college professors. We heard beautiful Cuban music, including Afro-Cuban jazz and salsa, took Salsa dancing lessons, went to art museums, artist warehouse lofts, and saw tons of historic architecture. Cuba is in a deep economic crises and we were glad to support and benefit the Cuban people directly with our patronage of their homes, cafes, art, music and tour guides. We literally fell in love with the Cuban people as a result.”
